“We are all born different and grow up differently, making each of us special in our own way, whatever our circumstances.”
BRUSSELS (PRWEB) January 07, 2015
Author Dimitris Politis tells an exciting, fast-paced story with underlying messages about the devastating effects of intolerance, prejudice and discrimination in his new multicultural thriller, “The Stolen Life of a Cheerful Man” (published by AuthorHouse UK).
Dimos, a Greek gay man, is the story’s protagonist and the plot unfolds around his relationship with two men. Readers will follow his adventures with fellow Greek Alkis, who has been his best friend since childhood, and Rory, the Irishman Dimos meets later in life when he ends up in a diplomatic post in Dublin.
The main plot focuses on terrorism and its effects, but the book’s underlying theme shows how prejudice and discrimination have a lasting, catastrophic impact on victims’ lives.
“The book encourages the reader to rethink the importance of tolerance and acceptance of fellow human beings of any kind,” Politis says of his book. “We are all born different and grow up differently, making each of us special in our own way, whatever our circumstances.”
