Direct Line Cruises, Inc. will once again participate in the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) 2012 National Cruise Vacation Week. During this promotion, participating CLIA member cruise lines offer significant incentives to help boost revenue during what is an otherwise slow booking period. Consumers that book with Direct Line Cruises can look forward to additional perks provided by the agency.
National Cruise Vacation Week (NCVW), October 21-27, is the cruise industry’s single largest promotion. Up until a couple of years ago, the event was held annually on just one night in October. In 2010, it expanded from a single night to a full week, generating $55 million in cruise sales. In 2011, 52,000 bookings were generated as a result of NCVW events.
Special discounts, reduced deposits, free cabin upgrades, free airfare, 2 for 1 luxury cruise offers, and more highlight the event. To add even more to what participating cruise lines are offering, Direct Line Cruises is upping the ante by providing additional incentives such as onboard spending credit and the inclusion of travel insurance for cruises 5-nights in length or longer.
“Direct Line Cruises is a CLIA affiliate agency specializing in cruise vacations. That makes us particularly qualified in helping consumers choose the perfect cruise and providing them the best vacation value,” states Greg Coiro, CEO of Direct Line Cruises, Inc. “Our office will be fully staffed to meet the expected high call volume during National Cruise Vacation Week.”
When working with a Direct Line Cruises’ CLIA Certified Cruise consultant, consumers can be confident that they are working with the most knowledgeable agents in the industry. Earning the designation of an Accredited Cruise Counsellor, Master Cruise Counsellor, or Elite Cruise Counsellor, these travel agents have completed a rigorous curriculum of cruise sales training and have personally sailed, or inspected, a wide variety of cruise ships.
