B2B demand generation leaders form partnership to help businesses turn more prospects into customers.

"Nothing qualifies a prospect better than a one-on-one conversation. A webinar followed by a telemarketing call is the secret to harnessing webinars and turning more prospects into customers.”

Market Leaders in B2B Lead Generation, Direct Marketing Partners (DMP) and WebAttract, LLC, have formed a strategic partnership to provide clients with specialized services to keep the leads flowing and to help them reach their webinar demand generation objectives.

To kick-off the partnership, the two companies have created a thought leadership series of webinars to be held quarterly. The first webinar, entitled “Give a Shift! – Harnessing Webinars as a Trigger Event to Turn Prospects Into Customers,” took place July 19th, 2011. The webinar featured Craig Elias, author of "SHIFT! Harness The Trigger Events That Turn Prospects Into Customers" and the creator of Trigger Event Selling™.

In addition to Elias, the panel of experts included Mike Agron, executive webinar producer and co-founder of WebAttract and Scott Grams, VP of business development at DMP. WebAttract producer Lori Dearman moderated the event.

The webinar drew an audience from 25 states and provinces representing sales and marketing professionals in high tech, medical, bio-tech and many other industries. “Comments from attendees were very favorable and tell me that the theme of recognizing webinars as a trigger event resonated well," said Agron.

During the webinar, attendees were asked to identify their biggest challenges in turning prospects into customers. The online poll gave them the following five options: Getting to the right person, being there at the right time, saying the right things, qualifying which prospects are best and arranging the first appointment.

Debra da Costa, president and CEO of DMP, said, “Interestingly, the number one challenge identified by attendees is qualifying which prospects are best. This is one of the main reasons DMP and WebAttract have joined forces. Webinars are an amazing vehicle to attract an audience. More and more of our clients are using them to communicate their value propositions in the marketplace.”

Added Grams, “A webinar adds to what DMP considers our clients’ greatest resource: their prospect database. And we know from experience that nothing captures information about whether these prospects are ready to buy better than a one-on-one conversation. A webinar followed by a telemarketing call is the secret to harnessing webinars and turning more prospects into customers.”

“In the post-webinar survey, 100% of respondents said the webinar met, was above or exceeded their expectations,“ Agron reported. “This suggests that sales and marketing professionals received value from attending by gaining new insights on how they can use a webinar as a "trigger event" to turn more prospects into customers," he continued.

The second webinar in this series is set for mid-October. Details will be available soon at and
