Disabled World Creates New Disability Video Section

Disabled World, the world's most popular website for persons with disabilities, has added a new Disability Video section. Visitors and members of Disabled World now have the option to view video clips on a large range of subjects

Montreal, Quebec (PRWEB) August 7, 2009 -- Disabled World, the world's most popular website for persons with disabilities, has added a new Disability Video section. Visitors and members of Disabled World now have the option to view health and disability video clips on a large range of subjects ranging from assistive technology in action, to health information and teaching disability topics in classrooms. Comments may be submitted on each of the videos; there is also a star rating system which provides an easy way to rate individual videos.

Ian Langtree, owner and creator of Disabled World, is quoted as saying, "There are some excellent videos supplying information and representing people with disabilities online; however, it was a daunting task trying to find exactly what you were looking for. With our new collection of disability video clips located in the one area, finding an interesting video related to disabilities is now as easy as selecting the particular category you desire."

While many of the current video clips on the website have been sourced from video sharing sites such as YouTube.com and other sources, the ability for both persons with disabilities, as well as organizations who wish to demonstrate their products and aids to the disability community, to upload their own videos will soon be an option.

A category of videos for the deaf and hearing impaired includes news items and disability topics in both British Sign Language (BSL), as well as American Sign Language (ASL). Videos have been included that feature captioning as well.

The Disability Videos section of Disabled World makes a great addition to the website's current areas, such as the popular health and Disability Events Calendar, a guest blogging area, and the well known social networking Disability Community section where seniors, baby boomers, and persons with disabilities and/or health problems from all over the world meet and interact.
