For a complete audio archive simply connect the system via a PC to the Internet and it will search out track and album information automatically. The Nimbie will convert audio tracks to MP3, WAV,WMA and other popular audio format using the Broadex System QQripper software and iTunes/WMP. Automating the process of saving the converted audio tracks to the folder or device assigned by Windows Media Player or Apple iTunes, search online database and download the metadata of tracks including names, artists and album artworks and automatically load and unload audio discs. This process, called "Audio Ripping" means converting music from CDs to digital audio files. Another unique feature of the Acronova Nimbie is data backup and this is the process of reading files on the hard drive and burning them over to a recordable CD or DVD.
