Players meet one or more requirements they'll very likely still generate interest among women's tennis coaches and recruiters.

AthleticScholarships.com, a leading provider of athletic scholarship and college recruitment information, has just released Division I women's tennis recruiting guidelines. The guidelines are an overview of what tennis coaches and organizations consider to be the ideal stats for high level, 5 star high school recruits.

However, players and their parents should know that evaluating potential athletes is not an exact science and some factors can't be measured. Rick McDole, Director of Recruiting Operations at NCSA Athletic Recruiting Network, also pointed out that as long as, "players meet one or more requirements they'll very likely still generate interest among women's tennis coaches and recruiters."

With that in mind, the guidelines provided below are meant to assist athletes in preparing for the recruitment process which in turn should increase their chances of securing a spot on a college team and possibly a women's tennis scholarship.
