It's important that we support the growth of this community by offering premium machines that keep in step with the industry's innovations.
Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) May 30, 2013
Freedom Machine Tool, a subsidiary of Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), is excited to be participating in the 2013 Orthotics Technology Forum (OTF), being held at the Georgia Institute of Technology from May 29th - 31st in Atlanta, GA. FMT is a U.S.-based manufacturer of 3 axis CNC routers, including the Orthorout model, which is specifically designed for machining orthotic products.
The Orthotics Technology Forum helps expose attendees to a number of technologies from a variety of organizations, all committed to improving the human condition, and ultimately demonstrate existing and emerging technologies related to the orthotics and prosthetics market. Sessions will provide practitioners, medical clinics and laboratories with the latest in technology to automate the processes of delivering custom orthoses.
Freedom Machine Tool, committed to serving the orthotics industry, sponsored the Welcome Reception yesterday from 7:00-9:00pm in the Club Room at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center. This was an opportunity for delegates and speakers to network, share experiences, and to talk with industry leaders to exchange ideas.
Bill Oberg, a leading CNC Consultant for Freedom Machine Tool, will be one of the industry experts speaking at the forum. His presentation which is scheduled for Friday, 5/31 at 9:30am, will be on ‘Understanding Automated Machining of Custom Orthotic Insoles, and Implementing this Technology’. With over 25 years of experience in the CNC router market, and over 5 years specializing in orthotics machining, Bill has some unique insights to share.
"Automating your orthotic production processes give companies more choices," states Bill Oberg. "It's important that we support the growth of this community by offering premium machines that keep in step with the industry's innovations."
Last year’s event attracted over 100 delegates from 13 different countries offering their perspectives on how the industry is changing and growing. The OTF roster of speakers are leading the way in developing and using different types of technology, from hardware devices to help measure biomechanical features, pressure and anatomical form, CADCAM tools for plasterless manufacture, as well as new ideas for increasing productivity and reducing manufacturing costs. The 2013 program also features presentations from Ian Raversoft with Delcam PLC, who will be discussing custom orthotic insole design, and Ben Boyer with Kintec, who is going to talk about the future of orthotic manufacturing.
