We are beyond thrilled to have top trainers like Victoria Stilwell joining us in our mission to positively impact the lives of dogs.

As part of their initiative to promote the importance of responsible dog parenting and educate pet parents on how to have the healthiest and happiest dogs, The Dogington Post and Merrick Pet Care teamed up to create “Merrick Pet Care’s Dogington University,” a series of eight live seminars presented by top dog trainers from around the world, which began April 15 and continues daily until April 24. A full schedule is available at http://dogingtonpost.com.

On Wednesday, April 24 at 5:00PM EST, world-renowned dog trainer Victoria Stilwell will present a live, free, one-hour seminar to readers and fans of the Dogington Post.

A passionate advocate for positive reinforcement dog training methods, Stilwell is the Editor-in-Chief of Positively.com which features the world’s leading veterinary behaviorists, dog trainers and behavioral scientists on her Positively Expert Blog. She is a vocal opponent of punitive, dominance-based training techniques, which often result in ‘quick fixes’ but ultimately cause more long-term harm than good while damaging the owner-dog relationship.

During the exclusive seminar, Victoria will discuss the power of positive training, the dangers and inefficiencies of traditional dominance and punishment-based training methods, and how to truly understand your dog using science-based principles which create healthy bonds based on mutual trust, respect and love rather than pain, fear and intimidation.

“We're getting incredible feedback for our Dogington University Webinar Series,” said Brandy Arnold, Content Editor for the Dogington Post, “and we are thrilled to have top trainers like Victoria Stilwell joining us in our mission to positively impact the lives of dogs.”

The Dogington Post shares with Merrick Pet Care, a company recognized for the highest quality standards in the pet food industry and Dogington University sponsor, a common goal of improving the lives of dogs and their families through proper nutrition, education, training and responsible pet ownership. Anyone can register for free at https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/522531590. A one-time registration will allow access to all eight training seminars.

Trainers also presenting as part of the series included the highly respected veterinarian, animal behaviorist and trainer, Ian Dunbar.

Other Panelists include Veterinarian Dr. Chris Smith; Owner of Off-Leash K9 Training, Nick White; Behavior Therapist and Master Trainer, Dianne Sarasin; “The Original Dog Whisperer,” Paul Owens; the “Celebrity Dog Listener,” Tony Knight; Steve Reid, owner of S.R.
