Roberts Insurance and Financial Services to Launch Charity Drive Benefitting Victims of Domestic Violence in Virginia
Chesapeake, VA (PRWEB) October 10, 2016 -- Roberts Insurance and Financial Services, a family operated service insurance and financial planning agency serving the greater Hampton Roads metropolitan region, is initiating a community wide charity event aimed at supporting the HER Shelter organization.
The Help and Emergency Response Shelter, or HER Shelter, is a nonprofit facility committed to providing ongoing support and critical services to area residents affected by domestic violence. HER Shelter offers a 24 hour hotline staffed with trained advocates, and provides domestic abuse survivors with emergency housing for both women and children. HER Shelter also works to end domestic violence through advocacy and community education.
“Our goal is to end domestic violence in our community once and for all, and that’s why we’ve chose to support the HER Shelter organization in their tireless fight to stop domestic abuse,” says Willis Roberts, the owner and acting director of Roberts Insurance and Financial Services.
To publicize the charity event to benefit HER Shelter, the Roberts Insurance team is building an online social media presence and connecting with local community leaders over an email update system.
