Tax Payers And Social Programs Benefit From Car Donations

The benefits of donating cars to non-profit organizations.

(PRWEB) July 28, 2006 -- Tax payers with a car they longer use may want to consider donating it to a good cause. Many people are unaware of the advantages provided to car donors. In turn, they simply end up taking their car to the junkyard or go through the hassles of selling it . Rather than giving a car to the junkyard or selling it , many have begun to opt for contributing to charity.

Their are many practical reasons for donating a car to charity.

First off, it is important to know that cars can be donated even if they are not in perfect working condition. With a little bit of work from a charitable organization, your car can probably be made to run again. In addition, there are no worries about driving the car to the donation center or paying for towing. Most charities will pick cars up at the donors convenience.

To take service a step further, donation centers are usually willing to work promptly in order to ensure that everything goes smoothly from the start. When donating a car there is minimal paperwork to deal with; several reputable organizations can complete transactions within 24 hours of your request.

Donating a car to 501(c)3 non-profit entity can often create a large IRS tax deduction for the donor. Many people are not aware of this, but it is one of the best reasons to donate your car to charity.

Most importantly, such donations provide the resources needed by non-profit organizations to food, clothing and other essentials to people facing hardships. Cars may go to a family that does not have transportation, or the organization may sell them in order to provide clothes, food, or furniture. Either way, you can rest assured that donations are going to be put to good use.

To find a charity or organization that accepts automobile donations - simply go online or search the yellow pages. Worthwhile organizations are plentiful.

A car that is no longer used could become a large tax deduction and help provide resouces to a charity in the community. The benefits that go along with this process are endless, and the help provided to someone in need is priceless.
