Sales and Direct Marketing Firm Helps Sort Food for Families in Need

It felt great to help the community

DOZ Executives, a leading outsourced sales and direct marketing firm, recently volunteered their time at Philabundance, the region’s largest hunger relief organization, to help sort food for families in need.

Nine DOZ Executive team members, along President Michael Peragine, sorted 17,000 pounds of donated peaches in Philabundance’s warehouse.

“It felt great to help the community,” said Michael Peragine. “Most of our employees have had experience volunteering at food banks, so we thought this would be a great chance to give back. We came together as a team to do something important – and we succeeded.”

To get the DOZ Executive office involved prior to the event, Michael Peragine announced the upcoming event daily during meetings and stressed the need for help. He was thrilled when his team not only jumped at the opportunity, but got involved in the details of putting it together.

“Not only are we successful in business, but we’re acutely aware of the needs of others within the community – and our world,” Michael Peragine added. “It’s important to us as an organization that we put our all into our work, but also recognize that there are many people who could really benefit from our assistance.”

Philabundance, which serves low-income residents at risk of hunger and malnutrition, provides food through a network of agencies in the Delaware Valley (located in Philadelphia). Their member agencies include food cupboards, shelter or residential programs, social service agencies, emergency kitchens, and neighborhood distribution programs that reach people in need.
