Aesthetic Medicine announces a new treatment for patients concerned unwanted fat, Exilis Body Shaping. Exilis is a new breakthrough technology that uses targeted RadioFrequency (RF) energy to delivery pain free therapy for the reduction of fatty deposits, skin tightening, and wrinkles anywhere on the face and body.

Exilis is a new FDA approved device that offers a non-surgical solution for fat reduction and tissue tightening anywhere on the body.   The procedure uses controlled radio waves to heat a patient’s skin and target fat cells. Exilis’ thermal energy speeds up the metabolic activity of the fat cells causing them to shrink. The treatments also stimulate and strengthen the collagen network which can improve skin laxity and texture.  TODAY’s Kathie Lee Gifford tried out Exilis on her stomach and the impressive results from this “fat melting” procedure were captured on a Today show segment.

“The Exilis device and its revolutionary technology is the wave of the future,” said Dr. Darm. “It can measurably tighten skin without the need of painful surgery. We are thrilled to offer this cost-effective and non-invasive treatment.”

Exilis is one of the first systems that actually delivers circumferential reduction. By combining Radio Frequency (RF) energy with cooling, it can treat all areas of the body where stubborn fatty deposits persist or tighter, firmer skin is desired. While the RF is heating the dermis, the system's digital thermometer provides real-time monitoring and constant feedback of the skin's temperature, thus ensuring a comfortable and safe treatment.

“Exilis is a significant technology advance in the aesthetic marketplace today,” said Dr. Darm of Aesthetic Medicine, “Our team, and our patients, are extremely impressed with the outstanding results they are seeing from the Exilis treatments.”

During each Exilis procedure a computer-controlled delivery device is guided over the treatment area. The therapy causes the collagen support tissues to remodel and tighten. Each treatment delivers gradual, yet measurable results. Most patients see best results from 2 - 4 treatments. While some patients have had mild redness and swelling, most diminished within a few minutes to an hour after completing the therapy.
