Ferrara is so committed to helping women realize their lifelong dreams that she has earmarked 100% of all DramaticLash profits from its first month in business to go to Women for Women International.
Aspen, CO (PRWEB) June 24, 2010
Cynthia Ferrara took a dramatic step recently when she jumped out of an airplane at 29,840 feet to announce the launch of her company DramaticLash. DramaticLash is a no-nonsense serum that works to create the appearance of thicker and longer eyelashes.
Her 29,840-foot-jump is roughly the cruising altitude of most airliners and higher than the famed Mt. Everest. Jumping out of a plane from this height requires an oxygen mask and unwavering courage.
So why would 50-year-old Colorado businesswoman Cynthia Ferrara want to make this type of a high altitude low opening (HALO) jump? After all, HALO was originally designed to allow U.S. Special Forces to enter enemy territory undetected.
Ferrara explained to news agency My Fox News New York, “When I turned 50 a few months ago and the kids left the house, I realized I could redesign my life.”
Ferrara began redesigning her life by employing a team of scientists to create DramaticLash, a safe and effective solution to sparse-looking eyelashes. But Ferrara's interests go beyond eyelash growth and appearance. Her desire is to inspire and support women to reach for their dreams.
As remarkable as the eyelash serum is, the dedication to women achieving their aspirations is the most stunning aspect of DramaticLash. The DramaticLash.com website is a place for women to share their dreams and to support and encourage each other to achieve them. The company's motto is "Make It Dramatic!"
In fact, Ferrara is so committed to helping women realize their lifelong dreams that she has earmarked 100% of all DramaticLash profits from its first month in business to go to Women for Women International and 10% of its profits will be donated to the charity every month thereafter. Women to Women International is devoted to helping women in war-torn regions throughout the world with the financial, emotional and educational support they need to rebuild their lives.
When Cynthia Ferrara decided to launch DramaticLash, she knew she wanted to do something well, dramatic. Deciding on the HALO jump was easy as Ferrara had fond memories of a single skydive she’d done years before. Diving in tandem with a Gulf War veteran from 29,840 feet made Ferrara the new civilian female world record holder for this type of HALO jump and immediately landed her in USA Today, AOLNews, and MyFox National News.
Ferrara did her HALO jump with HALOJumper, the only agency offering these Special Forces style jumps to civilians. According to Kevin Ho, owner of HALOJumper, Ferrara is the second U.S. female civilian to make such a jump and only the 82nd civilian in the world. The other U.S. female to make the jump is a member of President Obama’s secret service.
Afterward Ferrara excitedly exclaimed, “It was breathtaking and exhilarating. DramaticLash is officially launched!”
