Duo Consulting won two 2013 Blue Drop Awards, an independent community-chosen honors recognition dedicated to excellence in Drupal. The awards were announced at DrupalCon Portland.
Duo Consulting was recognized for its commitment to advancing Drupal by adding functionality through module development and its work on Drupal-based websites. It was also recognized for publishing a book about online community development that has its foundations in Drupal.
The awards included:
- Drupal Module of the Year: Developed by Duo Consulting’s Director of Drupal Development Scott Weston, “Goals” is a gamification platform for a Drupal website. Using this module and the Rules module, website publishers can quickly set up a custom and sophisticated gamification system.
- Drupal Book of the Year: Duo CEO Michael Silverman authored Capturing Community: How to Build, Manage and Market Your Online Community. The book details how entrepreneurs and brands can build their own communities online, especially using open source technology like Drupal.
- Best Website: Duo clients IES Abroad, Northwestern Medicine Internal Health, Hurley Vascular Center and Built In Chicago were all finalists in “Best Website” categories.

The Blue Drop Awards is an independent, community-nominated, community-voted event that aims to publicly recognize the excellent individuals, companies and projects that have pushed the limits and maximized the capabilities of Drupal.
