After hearing both sides of the case, the jury returned a not guilty verdict, acquitting Finebloom’s client of all charges.
Sarasota, Florida (PRWEB) April 30, 2013
Sarasota DUI defense lawyer Darren Finebloom recently won an acquittal at trial for his client, who was charged with DUI.
According to the court documents, the driver, who was vacationing in Sarasota, was stopped by a Sarasota Sheriff’s DUI Task Force deputy for not having his headlights on. Upon contact with the driver, the deputy observed a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot, glazed eyes, and flushed face. After the driver admitted to drinking prior to driving, the deputy requested that the he perform standard field sobriety tests. Believing that the driver performed poorly on these tests, the deputy placed him under arrest, transported him to the jail, and requested that he provide a breath test sample. The defendant refused.
Upon his release from jail, the defendant hired DUI defense lawyer Darren Finebloom, who began his own independent investigation immediately. During this investigation, Finebloom obtained all the evidence that the State of Florida intended to use against his client, in order to rebut their claims against him. When the State Attorney’s Office refused to negotiate a resolution prior to trial, Attorney Finebloom set the case for trial.
According to the court documents, the State presented their case, and Finebloom presented his evidence to refute their argument of impairment. After hearing both sides of the case, the jury returned a not guilty verdict, acquitting Finebloom’s client of all charges.
