Cellbloc Studios today announced the launch of its Kickstarter for the development of "Dungeon Wars," a reimagining of the classic, RPG dungeon delving video game genre. In "Dungeon Wars," players will design and build dungeons and raid the dungeons of fellow players with the goal of amassing the biggest hoard of gold, all in an interactive, free to play platform.
Players will be able to customize their dungeons' layouts, traps, and monsters, and challenge their friends to raid them, if they dare. In turn, a player will raid the dungeons of other players with a group of four dungeon delvers he/she selects from a library of digital collectible cards. Players will equip these delvers with weapons, armor, and magical items from that same library to give them the best chance of defeating their friends' dungeons, escaping with the gold, and acquiring bigger and better traps, delvers, and equipment.
However, to build this game, Cellbloc Studios needs your help in the form of a contribution to the "Dungeon Wars" Kickstarter. In return for contributions ranging from $5 to $1,000 or more, Cellbloc Studios is offering several different rewards. These rewards include the opportunity to beta test "Dungeon Wars," booster packs of digital cards for use in the game, the chance to create your own trap, the ability to have your likeness and/or name become a rare delver in the game, and more.
"We're taking the classic dungeon delving game and bringing it kicking and screaming into the 21st century," said James Simpson, CEO and founder of Cellbloc Studios. "We give you the tools to build your own dungeons, equip your party to delve other player-created dungeons, and defeat their dungeons with your wits."
