Best Internet Practices Focus of Free Duo Consulting Seminars

Enterprise Drupal web developer Duo Consulting will host five free web design seminars at its downtown Chicago office as part of the 2012 @Duo Seminar Series. Presented by experienced entrepreneurs and professionals like Matt Moog (Built in Chicago) and Marc O’Brien (Acquia), the seminars will cover topics around Drupal, web design, online community, content migration, marketing and strategy.

According to Duo CEO Michael Silverman, “There are great Internet success stories happening and we wanted to create a forum to help those with the direct experience tell them. That forum is the @Duo seminars.” Each seminar will take place in the morning at Duo in its Bistro training center. Attendance is free but registration is required.

The first three @Duo Seminars include:

•     Drupal Content Migration: A Story of Community (MARCH 28) – Matt Moog, founder of Viewpoints and Built In Chicago together with Duo CTO Fred Salchli, share insights on the process of moving the BiC online community from Ning’s proprietary platform to Drupal. The seminar will focus discussion around the challenges of migrating content and the benefits of working with Drupal.
•     Drupal Powers the Media (APRIL 18) – Some of the biggest names in media have jumped into the world of Drupal—and Marc O’Brien, VP & general manager of social business software for Acquia, is stopping by to share their stories. Join them for a conversation about how Drupal could become the future of online community.
•     Content Marketing in the Enterprise (JULY 18) – With the growing importance of social media, marketing budgets are realigning to support content creation efforts. The Content Marketing Institute (CMI) is a source for education and events in support of this marketing shift. CMI will share its experience with best content marketing practices in the enterprise.

Subsequent seminars will take place on September 26 and October 30. They will include stories and best practices around content strategy, responsive design and online communities. Registration for the first seminar is now open.
