The Dürr exhibit will include two parts washers used to clean and degrease batch loads and CNC machined metal parts in baskets.
(PRWEB) July 30, 2012
As part of its exhibit, the company will demonstrate its SnapPlanner® 3D planning software to help customers assess and select cost-effective cleaning technologies. Other highlights at this year’s IMTS include Dürr’s announcement that it has invested in a USA parts cleaning lab and test center located in the Detroit metropolitan area, as well as an online web store for spare parts in the USA. Sales engineers from Dürr Ecoclean will be available for consultation throughout the event to answer cleaning questions.
The parts washers on display at IMTS illustrate different Dürr cleaning technologies available. The EcoCBase W3 chamber washer relies on aqueous immersion flood washing with a vacuum dry process that achieves totally dry parts, yet consumes less energy than conventional drying technology. Additionally at IMTS, Dürr’s Green Degreasing™ family of environmentally friendly washers will be represented by the EcoCBase P2, ideal for the removal of oils, greases, emulsions and chips.
Dürr will demonstrate its 3D virtual planning tool, SnapPlanner®, at IMTS. Using this software, machining manufacturers may select their ideal cleaning technology based on a number of factors. The software can calculate load and basket sizes, volumes, weights, and throughputs for the various industrial cleaning machines. Factors that influence a production part’s cost-per-unit may include initial equipment costs, personnel, number of shifts, operating costs, and so on. With SnapPlanner®, Dürr Ecoclean is able to conduct virtual “what-if” scenarios directly with customers to make complex capital equipment buying decisions manageable.
At this year’s IMTS, Dürr Ecoclean announces its $2.5M investment to expand its cleaning lab and test center in the USA. Customer cleaning trials can be conducted at the Wixom, Michigan facility in a variety of Dürr manufactured parts washers using different cleaning technologies. Analysis and cleanliness testing can be carried out locally by Dürr. By eliminating the need to send customer parts overseas to test labs in Germany, a testing process that used to take weeks can now be completed in days. Dürr Ecoclean can provide accelerated delivery for its parts washers as a result of this investment.
Also at IMTS, Dürr will promote its newly re-designed online web store. Customers in the USA may purchase spare parts from the online store 24-hours a day. In support of the web store, the company has increased its inventory of replacement parts, making many parts available for same day shipment. Additional product offerings can be browsed online, including Dürr’s portfolio of in-stock parts washers. The web store offers customers private accounts with quick access to view their order histories and special offers.
Dürr sales engineers at IMTS will be available to consult with customers about their specific cleaning challenges. Customers are encouraged to bring example photos of machined parts and process descriptions to the staff at booth E-5267. The Dürr IMTS exhibit includes a meeting area for one-on-one consultations, as well as video screens for interactive displays.
