A professional production brimming with over 90-minutes of memorable moments and bonus features, dog owners never again need to feel guilty about leaving their pets home alone.

The creator and director Seamus Mulcahy, a New York actor, conceived the idea for Shakespaws! while working as a dog-sitter during the day. Recognizing a need for programming that entertains and comforts dogs while their owners are away - as well as serve as a natural remedy for troubling canine conditions such as separation anxiety - Mulcahy set out to create a film that not only makes saying goodbye less traumatic, but one that dog owners can enjoy with their pets upon returning home.

"Dogs, like humans, are social animals," he says. "They love company. Nothing is more heart-wrenching than closing the door and leaving a sad little face behind. While I found that leaving the television on seemed to help, you cannot control its content. From sirens to shrills, television has a wide range of stressful sounds - especially during commercials."

Using professional voiceovers, elaborate sets, and comical costumes, he created Shakespaws!, a nurturing sight and sound stimulation for animals that captures the best of the Bard for every family member and children. Its cast of furry, four-footed creatures includes Miss Kisses, the perfectly pink pooch; Chica the Chihuahua, Biff the Bulldog, Kobe the German Shepherd and more. "Filming Shakespaws! was truly a memorable event," says Mulcahy. "When auditioning, we aimed for a unique balance of breeds and sizes. From a lovable litter of golden retriever puppies to a humongous, 160-pound Italian Mastiff, we had a blast creating each scene and capturing a great mix of fun and playful personalities."

With 14 chapters, a bonus reel, and special features such as 60-minutes of "Quiet Time", Shakespaws! can be programmed to repeat itself and play for as long as the dog's owners are away. The DVD currently retails for $19.95 (plus shipping and handling) and is available for purchase online at http://www.thedogfilm.com/buynow
