Naylor Association Solutions Best Practices Survey by Dynamic Benchmarking

This new tool takes our study to the next level... We are really excited to unlock the power of our study and think this new solution will bring the data to life.

Dynamic Benchmarking, a provider of customized online benchmarking and reporting solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of an industry communications best practices survey for Naylor Association Solutions. Naylor provides content strategy, print, digital, video, career, learning, AMS, and event management solutions to the association market. The new platform will be one of several solutions showcased at Naylor’s booth at the 2015 ASAE Annual Meeting and Exposition, August 8-11 in Detroit, MI.

In 2011, Naylor launched its communications benchmarking study to examine the effectiveness of, and trends in, association communications practices in conjunction with Association Adviser, Naylor’s news and education communication brand that focuses on best practices, news and leadership strategies for professional association executives and their staffs. “We wanted to track and measure how associations were communicating with their members and identify trends, best practices and opportunities to improve communications,” says Dave Bornmann, Vice President of Marketing for Naylor. “One of the challenges we’ve faced is providing a tangible means of helping respondents compare their individual performance to that of their peers and the overall industry.”

In the past, participants entered information using an online survey tool and the resulting data was manually analyzed and compiled into static reports by an outside researcher. Using the Dynamic Benchmarking platform, survey participants will now have immediate, 24/7 access to over 250 different dynamically generated, personalized reports, charts and graphs based on this collected data. “Associations, more than other industries, like to share – what is working well, what isn’t,” continues Bornmann. “This new tool takes our study to the next level, helping associations see how they’re performing across 50 different metrics against their peer set in a very immediate way. We are really excited to unlock the power of our study and think this new solution will bring the data to life,” Bornmann concludes.

Naylor will also be offering a new mini-assessment tool on its website that will allow visitors to enter a handful of metrics and compare themselves to the data collected in the larger study. Naylor sees the mini-assessment as a way of instantly demonstrating the value of its study by giving them a taste of how they compare to their peers when it comes to communications practices. Users can answer seven questions and receive immediate feedback on how they compare to data compiled from the larger study.

The mini-assessment will be available for use at Naylor’s booth at ASAE, Booth #213.
