Phonak's popular invisity ear prompter

(PRWEB) December 11, 2010

Swiss minituarized communications specialist Phonak Communications has upgraded its popular invisity ear prompter by boosting its volume, upgrading its software and enhancing its durability.

Now six years old and used by thousands of broadcasters and film makers around the world for discrete script prompting and other directions, invisity remains the smallest in-ear radio receiver in the world.

Driven by Phonak’s strategy of continual innovation and listening to the market, invisity’s developers have improved invisity in several ways, all with the aim of more closely meeting the needs of actors, presenters and other performers.

New invisity ear prompter features:

  • Increased in-ear volume
By boosting the invisity earpiece’s in-ear volume (Vol 1 setting = 98dB, Vol 2 = 106dB), speech intelligibility is improved. This is particularly crucial for challenging sound situations such as TV recordings with large audiences and location filming.

  • Highly ruggedized battery compartment
By improving the strength of this component, Phonak saves audio professionals both money and hassle by minimizing potential breakages. This compartment’s color has also been updated from green to beige, which allows broadcast sound professionals to quickly see, at a glance, which of their invisity receivers are new and which are older models.

  • New invisity IPU software (v.1.3)
This new software version now lets users of invisity FLEX reprogram the prompter's volume for the first time (in effect offering the same volume functionality as Phonak's second invisity model - the invisity FOUR).

invisity IPU software is used in combination with the Invisity Programming Unit (IPU) and is available to download from http://www.phonak-communications.com.
