Easter Seals urges Facebook users and communities across the country to pledge their support by voting before the campaign ends on August 15 at 11:59 pm CST.

The Northwestern Mutual Foundation’s Click for Kids campaign, a Facebook-driven initiative that will provide a total gift of $200,000 to Easter Seals and two other nonprofits dedicated to supporting children, will soon be coming to an end. Easter Seals urges Facebook users and communities across the country to pledge their support by voting before the campaign ends on August 15 at 11:59 pm CST.

Participation is simple. Facebook users can visit Northwestern Mutual’s Facebook page and vote with as little as one click. For each vote cast in support of Easter Seals, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation will give $10 to support children living with disabilities. These funds will go directly to Easter Seals initiatives such as Make the First Five Count(sm).

With Make the First Five Count, Easter Seals has launched a national awareness and advocacy effort designed to give children at risk of developmental delays, autism or other disabilities the right support they need to be school-ready and build a foundation for a lifetime of learning. Every year, millions of young children with unidentified disabilities and developmental delays enter school with learning and health issues that put them far behind their peers and have a lasting, negative effect on their ability to meet their full potential. Many will never catch up.

With your support and through campaigns such as this, Easter Seals is working to identify these disabilities within the first five years of life in order to give all children an equal opportunity to succeed. The Click for Kids campaign, launched on April 27, has already generated nearly $20,000 for Easter Seals through online votes cast at Northwestern Mutual’s Facebook page.

All Facebook users have access to the Click for Kids program and are allotted one vote per user. The program can be accessed through facebook.com/northwesternmutual.
