Our goal is to get these great reads to new readers across the English-speaking world.
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 30, 2012
Digital-first publisher Le French Book followed the release of its first three books with the announcement that it is expanding its distribution channels to include libraries and other retail platforms by partnering with the leading global digital-content distributor Overdrive. Overdrive distributes to more than 19,000 libraries, schools and retailers worldwide.
"We are excited to work with Overdrive," says Le French Book founder Anne Trager. "We've had a number of requests for our books from libraries and are happy to get this off the ground. Our goal is to get these great reads from France to new readers, so working with Overdrive was an obvious choice. Our goal is to expand a book's reach."
Le French Book currently has three titles available:
The Paris Lawyer by Sylvie Granotier, a prize-winning psychological thriller that doubles as a legal procedural. Set between the sophisticated world of Paris and the rural outreaches of central France, it follows a young lawyers dogged search for the truth in her case and her life.
Treachery in Bordeaux by Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noël Balen, a classic whodunit set in French wine country. It is the first in the 20-book Winemaker Detective series that is a hit on television in France.
The 7th Woman by Frédérique Molay, who has been called "the French Michael Connelly." This edge-of-your-seat police procedural set in Paris won one France’s most prestigious crime fiction awards and was voted Best Crime Fiction Novel of the Year. It is already an international bestseller with over 150,000 copies sold.
In the pipeline, Le French Book has a series of short stories and a thriller list, and it is planning on continuing the series it has started, growing its lists to publish ten or so translations a year.
