The demand for our unique suite of products and services continues to grow and our team has proven expertise in helping companies transform their static websites into real-time social experiences.

Echo, the leading real-time web platform provider, today announced the completion of a record quarter, boasting 86% revenue growth over the same quarter in 2011. Existing clients who expanded their use of the Echo platform include ESPN and USA Network and the company also added new clients including a leading community for women, Advance Digital and NBC Dateline.

This notable growth is fueled by increasing market demand for applications that connect consumers with brands through social media. Social networks have taught hundreds of millions of consumers to expect news, content and updates in real-time, and companies are starting to integrate similar real-time tactics into their digital marketing programs to foster higher levels of user engagement. Echo provides a platform that helps companies create unique, white labeled experiences that leverage tactics such as real-time comments, real-time forums, lifestreams, social chatter, real-time polling and data trending and visualization, among others.

Echo StreamServer is a social activity database that supports this broad range of real-time applications for social tv, social news and other forms of social entertainment. Designed to be highly scalable, flexible and reliable, Echo continues to drive adoption of its platform at massive scale. The company sold over 25 billion new real-time streams in Q112 alone.

Additional highlights from the quarter include:

  •     The one-year anniversary of Echo’s flagship product, Echo StreamServer, serving over one billion streams per month.
  • Strengthened management team with key executive hires, including a VP of Client Services, VP of Corporate Development and VP of Marketing.
  • Google Analytics leveraging Echo data as part of their Social Data Hub.
  • Launch of Backplane 2.0 and http://www.backplanex.com, a proposed open standard that enables javascript applications on a page to work interoperably with one another.

“We are very pleased with Echo’s growth over the past quarter,” said Khris Loux, co-founder and CEO of Echo. “The demand for our unique suite of products and services continues to grow and our team has proven expertise in helping companies transform their static websites into real-time social experiences. This puts us in a strong position to capitalize on the seismic shift that’s underway, as brands accelerate their adoption the real-time web.”
