Curl Announces Public Beta Availability of Eclipse-Based RIA
Development Tools
Executes Next Phase in Delivering New Set of Enterprise RIA Tools
Based on the Eclipse Framework
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) June 9, 2008 --
Curl®,
Inc. is executing on the next phase in its Eclipse
strategy with the availability of the beta versions of the new
Eclipse-based Curl Rich Internet Application (RIA) development tools.
The first release of the
Curl Development tools for Eclipse (CDE) and newest release of the Curl
Runtime Environment (RTE), Version 6.0.4, provide enterprise developers
with the tools to build and deploy their mission-critical,
enterprise-class RIAs within the increasingly popular Eclipse

“As the first major step in implementing our
Eclipse strategy, we are excited now to provide Curl developers with
access to the universal Eclipse IDE,” said
Bert Halstead, vice president and chief architect, Curl. “By
combining the highest-performing enterprise RIA platform, Curl, with the
best general-purpose IDE, Eclipse, we are giving programmers with an
updated set of development tools.”
The CDE is available for Windows, Linux and Eclipse 3.3 SDK or any
Eclipse-based IDE based on Eclipse 3.3. Major features in the CDE
include:
-

corporations with legacy client-server applications to move to Web-based
delivery, increasing reach and reducing cost. Founded in 1998, Curl is
headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Sumisho Computer Systems. Curl has over 300 customers and
