AMP Research opens eCommerce channel with new online store to drive sales to retailers for fulfillment, increasing sales and revenues for all parties

Besides enabling our retailers as fulfillment partners for standard ship-to-home orders, Shopatron allows us to support them in the future with in-store pickup and installation

Shopatron, the leading provider of eCommerce solutions for automotive aftermarket manufacturers, is proud to announce AMP Research as the newest addition to its roster of automotive aftermarket clients.

AMP Research has updated their website with an online store featuring the popular AMP Research Power Step, BedStep® and Bed X-Tender™. Orders placed by shoppers will be directed into Shopatron’s Coex Freedom order exchange for fulfillment by retailers across the United States and Canada. Retailers will also participate as local in-store pickup partners and installers.

AMP emphasizes that this program directs all sales to retailers who will continue to purchase through their existing distributors. AMP will not fulfill orders directly, but will direct all sales to retailers.

“Besides enabling our retailers as fulfillment partners for standard ship-to-home orders, Shopatron allows us to support them in the future with in-store pickup and installation,” said Mark Wronski, Marketing Director for AMP Research. “This feature will allow consumers to shop online and then pick up their product at their local retailer, saving time and money. When you add installation to the delivery options for shoppers, things start to get really exciting.”

“We are excited to welcome AMP Research to the Shopatron community,” said Ed Stevens, Shopatron Founder and CEO. “By adding an online store to its website, AMP Research can convert more of its website traffic into actual sales. We know consumers start their research most often at the manufacturer’s website. We know consumers want flexible delivery options, including local fulfillment. By giving consumers the experiences they want, AMP Research retailers will increase sales.”

The AMP Research store will launch in October 2009, joining over 70 automotive aftermarket manufacturers powered by Shopatron’s Coex Freedom order exchange.
