Mediachase launches new major release of their .NET eCommerce Framework (ECF) software for ASP.NET 2.0, enabling developers to launch fully customizable high-performance end-to-end commerce solutions for organizations, businesses and developers.

Mediachase, Ltd. has released the next generation of its eCommerce framework software designed to increase the speed and reusability of ecommerce development efforts. As part of the Mediachase strategy for commerce and collaboration, the ECF provides a strong modular design to enable virtually any type of customization and integration and to deliver commerce solutions targeted for consumer (B2C), business (B2B), and government (B2G) applications.

With an increasing amount of businesses looking to add new commerce capabilities or to upgrade their existing commerce infrastructures to the next generation of technology, the ECF is positioned to open up a new set of possibilities by providing a proven framework based on open standards and best practices.

Version 4.0 extends the framework by adding a number of new features and capabilities for developers, including the ability to leverage web services, AJAX, and SOA to enhance flexibility and integration with virtually any type of 3rd party or legacy system. Developers can leverage and extend the ECF’s core set of end-to-end business and technical features, including: catalog/content management functions, advanced checkout/shopping cart, customer/order management, e-coupons, web-based administrative tools, multi-language localization, 3rd Party Gateway/System integration, and a full-featured developer framework API and other tools.

“Since the first version of the ECF, our goal was to enable developers to start with a powerful architectural base of code and then to re-use and extend that code as their business requirements and technical needs require. With the release of ECF 4.0, we’ve taken this approach and have advanced our framework architecture to the next level,” said Chris Lutz, President of Mediachase. “As a result, .NET developers and IT organizations can benefit from faster speed to market, while reducing development costs, deployment timelines and complexity.”

With customers and partners all over the world, Mediachase is enabling an eCommerce solution ecosystem, as well as a network of global solution providers to assist business customers with in-country localization and integration.
