EcoSystems ranked No. 75 on 2019 Inc 5000 list of fastest-growing companies

“We are honored to be included in the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies. This acknowledgment is a result of our entire team’s hard work paired with the dedication of our firm and our partners to prove that conservation is good for business,” said Richard Lamondin, Jr., CEO of EcoSystems.

EcoSystems, a water and energy conservation company that designs and implements programs that have saved over 2 billion gallons of freshwater and $15 million in utility costs, is pleased to reveal its rank as Number 75 on the Inc. 5000 list, the most esteemed ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The firm, founded in 2012, makes its debut on the prestigious list this year, with its three-year revenue growth of 4,234 percent—the second fastest-growing company in the Environmental Services category.

Notable projects leading to EcoSystems’ placement on the 2019 Inc. 5000 list include the largest continuous water conservation retrofit in history(spanning 23 properties totaling 12,668 bathrooms in 8,615 units), a partnership with Denver Water, acquiring a Denver-based sustainability firm and hiring a vice president of sales to expand the business.

“To be a firm of blue-collar origins and have a place on this prestigious list is not typical today,” added Richard. “My brother Lawrence and I started EcoSystems in 2012 with $5,000. We maintained a side hustle in real estate to pay our bills, all while working projects in the field, running the company from our living room and not paying ourselves a salary until 2017. We are proud of where we have been, and who we are today. We look forward to continuing to build the team and bringing sustainable solutions to help our environment for years to come.”

This year, companies that made the list have been competitive both within their markets and as well as on the list as a whole. The 2019 Inc. 5000 achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 454 percent, and a median rate of 157 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $237.7 billion in 2018, accounting for 1,216,308 jobs over the past three years.

“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed many different paths to success,” said Inc. editor in chief James Ledbetter. “There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can take that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring the top companies will be held October 10 to 12, 2019, at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. Speakers include some of the greatest innovators and business leaders of our generation. The full list of acknowledged companies is available at Inc.com, and the top 500 companies will be featured in the September issue of Inc.

Methodology
The 2019 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2015 and 2018. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2015. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2018. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired). The minimum revenue required for 2015 is $100,000; the minimum for 2018 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue.
