Fire Protection Systems Corrosion Management, Inc. (fpsCMI) announces the industry standard Engineered Corrosion Solutions (ECS) Detector – Corrosion Monitoring Probe is now available in a model that can be visually monitored for corrosion activity in wet and dry pipe fire sprinkler systems eliminating the cost of wiring to a monitoring panel when regular inspections are conducted.
The ECS Detector – Corrosion Monitoring Probe is designed to be used with the ECS Inspector - Corrosion Monitoring Station (ICMS) and is the only corrosion probe specifically designed for fire sprinkler systems that offers visual monitoring capabilities without wiring to a monitoring panel.

The patent pending ECS Detector Corrosion Monitoring Probe is designed to detect a predetermined amount of corrosion activity occurring to the probe installed in an ECS Inspector Corrosion Monitoring Station. The environment within the corrosion monitoring station replicates the conditions within the fire sprinkler system where the most corrosion activity can be expected to occur.
There are three models of the ECS Detector – Corrosion Monitoring Probe. The DCMP-1 for wet or dry/pre-action fire sprinkler systems which is wired to a monitoring panel, the DCMP-2 which provides a site glass for visual monitoring in wet fire sprinkler systems and the DCMP-3 which offers a LED push button element that illuminates for visual monitoring in dry/pre-action fire sprinkler systems.
