Carver, MA (PRWEB) May 22, 2013
The world’s most recognizable engine returns to Edaville in June for six Day Out With Thomas dates, officially opening the 2013 Edaville season. That opening will be short lived, as Edaville is slated to close for the summer to install Dinoland, its first major new attraction since embarking on a multiple-year expansion project last year.
Dinoland will feature 22 automated, museum-quality dinosaurs in a self-guided walk through a primordial forest. Aspiring archeologists will dig for prehistoric bones and marvel at life-like dinosaurs as tall as 60 feet while parents will enjoy an enchanting stroll through one of Edaville’s most scenic areas – in a newly developed park of the park most have never been in.
Many other changes big and small will be apparent to returning Edaville visitors when the park reopens August 31st with a full fall and winter holiday schedule. Among these will be a working pumpkin patch growing 4,000 gourds for Pumpkins Aglow!, Edaville’s new Halloween event featuring a garden of artfully carved jack o’ lanterns complete with atmospheric music and lighting.
In June, Day Out With Thomas returns for its twelfth year at Edaville. This wildly popular stop on a national tour features a 20-minute ride on a life-size Thomas the Tank Engine. Park goers will meet Sir Topham Hatt, enjoy Thomas-themed activities, arts and crafts and live music and enjoy unlimited amusement rides.
Day Out With Thomas at Edaville will run June 15-16 and 21-24. Tickets are $20 for ages 2-59, $16 for seniors ages 60 and up, and under age two is free.
