When children know they are loved, they shine, feel joy, and grow into loving adults. This story is just one way to find our love and share it with everyone.

In her new illustrated children’s book "The Andersuns: Keturah's Bedtime Story" (published by AuthorHouse), the second in the series, author E. Diann Cook helps young readers understand the importance of letting their inner light shine to teach the value of acknowledging, accepting and embracing love. "Many times someone labeled as a ‘bully’ is in need of love and to find a way to bring out the love they have within," Cook suggests.
"The Andersuns: Keturah's Bedtime Story" is about Keturah Andersun’s favorite story before bedtime. The story is about a place where everyone is seen by their differences and how they finally learn to come together. It’s about learning how to let love show in the things one thinks, says and does. "The more you show your love the more you share your love," Cook says.
Keturah Andersun is the 8-year-old main character; she is the one who likes the story so much she wants to hear it every night before she goes to sleep. Ben Andersun, Keturah’s father, is the supporting character, and loves to read her the story every night.
"When we let our light shine, it brings joy to our lives and it is what helps us grow," Cook says. "When children know they are loved, they shine, feel joy, and grow into loving adults. This story is just one way to find our love and share it with everyone."
Cook collaborated with her son, JaVon O. Stokes, who brought a new look to the Andersun family with his illustrative style. The book’s original song, written by Cook, "Look Inside of You" will soon be added as a free download on her website, http://www.dijarodesigns.com. "Come along for the read," she says.
