Special Edmonton hotel, spa, and restaurant Valentine's packages make Cupid's holiday even more romantic.

There is no better time for Edmonton winter vacations than Valentine's. Restaurants, hotels, and spas around the Festival City have risen to the occasion with a variety of amorous packages that make a spontaneous getaway effortless.

Edmonton hotels feature an array of sweetheart retreats from which to choose. Three packages (Sweetheart, Romance, and Grand Occasion) from the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald allow couples to tailor their stay with everything from luxurious accommodations and a gourmet dinner to champagne and chocolates. Sutton Place Hotel near downtown Edmonton attractions features The Body 'n Soul Package including accommodations, breakfast, and a $100 certificate to Eveline Charles Salon & Spa. And the historic Union Bank Inn has created two packages: the Romance Package offers Edmonton restaurant dining at Madison's Grill and champagne and strawberries, while the Spa Package includes a $100 spa credit at Eveline Charles Salon & Spa.

Edmonton spas and restaurants are also serving up their fair share of romance. In addition to the Edmonton hotels with packages at Eveline Charles Salon & Spa, the venue features its own specials including the Most Wanted with a body scrub, Petals bath, body wrap and massage and the lavish You Deserve It with a facial, massage, manicure/pedicure, body scrub, haircut and more. Rain Salon and Spa offers the Rainbow Package and Beyond the Usual--both with an outstanding array of over six treatments. For couples, Spa Opus promotes indulgence for two with a couple's massage followed by an aromatic visit to the Jacuzzi.

Those who prefer the romance of restaurants will enjoy Edmonton fine cuisine offerings. Chef Larry Stewart of Hardware Grill highlights Albertan cuisine for Valentine's, while La Ronde--the revolving restaurant atop the Crowne Plaza Chateau Lacombe offers a romantic locale.
