ProvidaStaff has announced today that it is changing its name for its educational healthcare division to EDU Healthcare to reflect better on the commitment in delivering healthcare services to school systems and students nationwide.
“ProvidaStaff has always been a leading healthcare service provider to school districts throughout the country,” said Angela M. Lewis, President of ProvidaStaff. “We continue to strive to be a better organization and the introduction of EDU Healthcare better aligns our services to our clients.”
ProvidaStaff is a healthcare staffing and service organization based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company was founded in 2007 by Speech-Language Pathologist, Angela Lewis and her husband Matthew Lewis. Today, the company is one of the fastest growing organizations in America and operates in all 50 states.
In May 2014, Giuliana Lewis, the daughter of founders, Angela & Matthew Lewis, was born with Down Syndrome.
“We know first-hand how important it is for individuals like Giuliana to receive the services they need in order to grow to meet their developmental and educational goals,” said Matthew Lewis, Vice President of ProvidaStaff. “It’s personal for us. We are completely invested in serving the needs of our clients.”
Services to school systems include School Nursing, School Psychology, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Vision and Hearing Services, Sign Language, Counseling and Behavior Support, as well as Special Education Teaching services.
“We work with many public and private school districts in meeting their therapy, nursing, and special education needs for their students. We have extensive knowledge and expertise in delivering these services to our clients,“ said Angela. “Our focus is always on the students we serve, they are our number one priority.”
ProvidaStaff hires experienced healthcare providers to deliver their services in an educational setting. The company ensures its providers have the experience and skillsets to deliver their services so that every student is achieving their educational goals.
Recent studies have shown an increase in the need for more healthcare services to children. In March 2014, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released statistics on a surveillance study that 1 in 68 children are now diagnosed with having Autism Spectrum Disorder. In 2011, the U.S. Department of Education surveyed that 13% of the nation’s K-12 students were receiving special education services.
School systems continue to see an increase of enrollment for special education and continue to trust and rely on ProvidaStaff and EDU Healthcare to meet their special education needs.
