MSDSonline today announced the addition of SkyWest Airlines to its roster of airline clients. SkyWest Airlines operates more than 1,600 flights per day for United Express, Delta Connection and AirTran. MSDSonline will be providing on-demand material safety data sheet (MSDS) management and other EH&S solutions for all of SkyWest Airlines’ 161 locations across the country.

Jack Rentink, manager of compliance/safety for SkyWest Airlines said, 'Our decision required research and assistance from a team of people at SkyWest Airlines, including Maintenance Vice President Mike Gibson, Managing Director Safety Dave Faddis, and Maintenance Facilities Coordinator Donovan Johnson.'

"We researched and reached out to multiple suppliers in the marketplace searching for one that could meet all of our needs. We determined that without a doubt that provider was MSDSonline."

“We’ve taken a happy departure from our previous inefficient paper MSDS management system and have entered into the world of electronic online MSDS management. We’re already seeing a huge improvement in efficiency. It used to take us 30 minutes to locate an MSDS, and now it takes just seconds.”

The MSDSonline HQ Account, ideal for multi-site companies, provides SkyWest Airlines with a global view of each facilities’ hazardous chemical information and serves as a central location for storing, accessing and managing (M)SDSs for the entire organization.

Rentink added, “Being able to have all of our facilities’ (M)SDSs stored electronically in one central location is a great benefit; no more worrying about employees not having access to (M)SDSs—and the most up-to-date (M)SDSs—right when they need them.”

Glenn D. Trout, president of MSDSonline, said 'We’re proud to add this blue chip player in the airline industry to our growing portfolio of airline clientele. We look forward to providing SkyWest Airlines with unparalleled, on-demand compliance solutions and support for their EH&S program.'
