Evidence In Motion (EIM) is excited to announce details for Manipalooza 2012, an annual four day boot camp of hands-on learning in manipulation, soft tissue techniques and pain management strategies for physical therapists. The event, to be held May 19-22 in San Antonio, Texas, will showcase many of the national and international thought leaders in the physical therapy profession including Larry Benz, DPT, MBA and Rob Wainner, PT, PhD along with many other well-known and respected faculty from across the country. The topics addressed at Manipalooza serve to improve patient outcomes and energize PTs through facilitating collaborations with peers.

The initial success and positive feedback steered EIM leaders to make Manipalooza an annual event. “We expect this year to be even bigger than 2011. PTs are continually striving to improve their patient outcomes. Manipalooza provides them with an outlet to exchange ideas and receive hands-on guidance and clinical advice that they can apply to their treatments the following Monday,” says EIM principle Larry Benz, DPT, MBA.

The event will feature lectures and workshops covering a range of topics to include:
Advanced Cervical Manipulation
Mobilization with Movement
Cervical Thoracic Junction & Upper Ribcage Manipulation
Advanced Exercise Intervention for the Lower Quarter
Advanced Hip & Knee Manipulative Management
Spinal Manipulation Excellence- Refining the Skill

“What you will experience at Manipalooza will be a series of keynote lectures from thought leaders in the industry,” states Rob Wainner, PT, PhD, EIM principle and faculty member, “followed by high quality hands-on laboratory sessions with EIM faculty who are passionate about providing patients with the best treatments and passionate about helping other PTs do the same.”

Manipalooza participants will be awarded 32 contact hours from the Evidence In Motion Institute of Health Professions for attending the event. The registration price is $695 for EIM students, $760 for EIM Network Partners, $795 for students enrolled in an APTA accredited Residency or Fellowship Program, and $895 for all other registrants.
