Relias Learning, parent of Silverchair Learning Systems, and the leader in delivering e-learning content for the senior care industry, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Care2Learn, from VectorLearning. The acquisition results in an expanded suite of e-learning content and establishes Relias as the preeminent provider of training to the senior care industry in North America.

Care2Learn was founded by veteran caregivers to provide online education through its robust learning management system for long-term and post-acute care providers and professionals. Post-acute providers rely on Care2Learn for a complete curriculum of in-service and CE-approved courses for compliance training that is consistent and conveniently accessible. Care2Learn has a library of more than 770 courses, including over 500 accredited courses, spanning more than 17 disciplines. Over 500,000 healthcare professionals choose Care2Learn as their education partner to enhance their skills and renew their professional certifications.

“This is a unique and strategic opportunity for Relias,” said Jim Triandiflou, Chief Executive Officer of Relias Learning. “Care2Learn serves an outstanding group of providers, and is supported by a team that has been committed to creating world-class content, learning management solutions and support for the senior care industry. The combined company’s e-learning solutions and content will serve more than 3,500 organizations and nearly 2 million professionals with the most comprehensive content library and tracking mechanisms available in the market. The combined client base spans independent skilled nursing facilities to large multi-facility organizations, CCRCs, assisted living providers, home health agencies, and therapy and rehabilitation providers.

VectorLearning’s CEO, Tom Wallace, commented on the acquisition, “We are incredibly focused on ensuring we do what’s best for our customers. By combining with Relias Learning, our Care2Learn clients will have access to an expanded set of content and functionality.
