If a candidate can shape their message based on what part of the country they are in or what group they are speaking to, why shouldn't a voter be able to also change their vote based on the latest information?

Social voting website AmericanPrimary.com announced its launch today, giving people a vote in the nation's first online Presidential Primary Election. Through AmericanPrimary.com, voters don't have to wait for their state's primary election in order to voice their opinion. Visitors to AmericanPrimary.com will be able to cast their vote, change their vote, vote across party lines, suggest fantasy candidates and see real-time results broken down by party and individual state.

While AmericanPrimary.com's primary purpose is gauging the pulse of the country and energizing voters, it is also designed to be an interactive and entertaining look at voters' everyday interests. Users can vote online for their favorite presidential candidate as well as submit optional information about themselves in order to generate trends relating to America's voting patterns. Want to know what TV show Clinton voters like most? Do McCain supporters favor County and Western music over Hip Hop? Do Obama voters favor Italian food over Asian food? What kind of cars do Bloomberg voters like best? Voters can find the answers to these questions and more on AmericanPrimary.com.

Visitors to Americanprimary.com will be urged to "Vote Early and Vote Often", because under this system, voters can change their vote anytime. Only the user's latest vote is recorded and counted towards the real-time statistics -- making sure that each registered user's vote is counted only once. A virtual tote board will allow users to see real-time vote percentages and tracks votes shifting from one candidate to another.

"As we have clearly seen recently, polls and even focus groups fail to reflect the public's passions and changing views," said AmericanPrimary.com's founder Dr. Michael Galiazzo. "The internet is breaking all the rules of election and campaign behavior and our desire is to make AmericanPrimary.com the first and only system that allows people to be heard throughout the electoral process. It is a reflection of politics at its best -- the passionate supporter and voter who is empowered to make decisions and change those decisions based on what they learn from the ongoing campaigns."

AmericanPrimary.com takes the data control away from the pollsters and media and empowers voters across the country to be heard throughout the electoral process. It allows a voter to gauge the candidates' evolving positions and handling of the issues and allows the voter to also "evolve" their vote based on their current opinions.

"The most unique attribute of AmericanPrimary.com is that voters can track the real-time progress of their candidate and even change their vote along the way to reflect their latest opinion on who should eventually run our country," said Galiazzo. "If a candidate can shape their message based on what part of the country they are in or what group they are speaking to, why shouldn't a voter be able to also change their vote based on the latest information?"

Still considered in "beta" development, AmericanPrimary.com plans to add the 2008 Congressional races to their online voting system along with a number of other issues facing the country in the near future.

"When you think about the US Presidential primary races, it is silly that a caucus in Iowa or votes in a handful of states is viewed as the will of the people," said Galiazzo, a Maryland native and veteran of many local and national campaigns over the last 30 years.

AmericanPrimary.com empowers Americans to change "politics as usual" by breaking the hold of local politicians and traditional parties through social voting. Similar to social networking sites, Americanprimary.com is social voting that allows the people to take back the shaping of politics.

"AmericanPrimary.com is not just another social network. It is a social voting network that reflects people's views, values and vitality, all in real-time and unfiltered."
