This whole line of products is without doubt the future of back-up power and it’s available today.

ElectricMan, a leading provider of commercial and residential electrical solutions in North Texas, warns that 2012 could be another tough year for rolling blackouts and power grid failures in Texas. However, it asserts that an Indoor Generator may be the solution for the electricity challenges facing the state this year.

Texas residents suffered damaging and costly electrical problems in 2011. Three major blackout incidents, two of which happened in the winter months of February and December respectively, left residents without heat and without power for hours and, in some cases, days at a time.

Now, experts warn that several factors point to an even more severe blackout and power grid problem in the state of Texas for 2012.

According to ElectricMan, there is a solution: a solar or wind-powered Indoor Generator that can supply and store emergency power for consumers. The Power Cart, as it is known, is a mobile trailer combining a battery-based Indoor Generator with solar panels. A wind turbine or a traditional gas-powered generator can be used as additional charging sources. This is a “hands-free” power station that turns itself on and off, when hooked up, with NO down time for start-up unlike traditional generators. Users never need to worry about checking “gas and oil” again. Indoor Generator requires no fuel and minimal maintenance.

The Indoor Generator takes advantage of the sun and wind when available to power the batteries, relying only on the power company or a second back-up generator if the batteries deplete.

The system can provide a continuous 3.6 kilowatt output, and has on-board electronics to tell the Power Cart to sell power back to the power company using wind or solar power when possible.

“This whole line of products is without doubt the future of back-up power,” said Nick Schaeffer, owner of ElectricMan Inc.
