Elite Meetings International CEO and publisher, Kelly Foy, announces the release of the January 2009 edition of Elite Meetings magazine. This first of two editions to be produced in 2009 features 100 of North America's upscale properties for corporate meeting and incentive planners, plus an additional 60 hotels and resorts in development that Elite Meetings International anticipates its advisory board will certify.

Highlights of the latest edition of Elite Meetings magazine include articles about high-tech hotel offerings that benefit groups; a Q&A with Kimpton COO, Niki Leondakis, and meeting planner, Amanda Armstrong; a 12-month industry events calendar; and a special spotlight on Europe.

"We couldn't be more pleased about the caliber of properties contained in our pages," says editorial director Susan Campbell. "The ranges of size and character--from hospitality grande dames like The Broadmoor and Hotel del Coronado to intimate gems like Santa Fe's new Encantado, an Auberge Resort--ensure that planners will find high-quality choices for every occasion."

Every property profiled in Elite Meetings magazine is independently approved by the 16-member Elite Meetings Advisory Board. Along with descriptive articles about these Elite Certified properties, the magazine gives important at-a-glance details relevant to planners, including room breakouts, high- and low-season rates, taxes, amenities, food and beverage averages, and airport proximity.

According to publisher Kelly Foy, the second edition for 2009 will be released in July. "At that time," he says, "we'll deliver another 100 properties that we think planners need to include on their list of favorites. We've done our homework," he adds, "to give planners critical time- and money-saving resources, not only in the form of our magazine, but on-line and in person, as well."

The magazine's print distribution includes more than 44,000 top decision makers in the meetings, events, and incentives industry. Again this year: bonus "green" distribution to 80,000 planners in the form of a complimentary digital e-zine, which will be available on EliteMeetings.com in the weeks ahead. Print editions can be ordered for $10.00 plus shipping and handing from the Web site as well.

The magazine contains 100 of North America's top properties. More than 700 additional properties, complete with write-ups, quick facts, and photographs, can also be found on EliteMeetings.com. Here planners can research and submit 100% commission-free RFPs to Elite Certified properties.
