It’s a tremendous honor to be chosen for this role by our members, and I look forward to working with them on promoting and advancing our important mission.

Danny Glover Jr., a partner with the Elizabeth City personal injury and criminal defense law firm of Teague & Glover, P.A., has been named President-Elect of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.

Glover was selected to the post during the NCAJ’s convention June 15-18 in Wilmington. The Elizabeth City lawyer will serve as President-Elect and as a member of the NCAJ’s Executive Committee in 2013-2014. He will then start his term as President in June 2014.

The NCAJ is a non-profit, non-partisan organization of approximately 4,000 trial attorneys throughout the state who are dedicated to protecting people’s rights through professional and community legal education, championing individual rights and protecting the safety of North Carolina’s families – in the workplace, in the home and in the environment.

Glover is a longtime NCAJ member who has held several leadership roles within the organization in addition to his work serving clients in Elizabeth City, the Outer Banks and surrounding areas.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be chosen for this role by our members, and I look forward to working with them on promoting and advancing our important mission,” Glover said.

Glover is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill who concentrates his practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases. He also works with his law partner, Keith Teague, in representing clients in criminal, DWI and traffic cases.

In the past, Glover has served as Chair of the NCAJ’s Auto Torts Section and as a member of its Board of Governors, Legal Affairs Committee and DWI Task Force. He just finished a two-year term as the organization’s Legislative Vice President and is currently a trustee of the NCAJ PAC, the organization’s political action committee.

In 2010, Glover received the NCAJ’s prestigious Ebbie Award Citation of Excellence, which is given to members who “exemplify and perform exceptional service and commitment to NCAJ in its work.”

Glover has been selected the past several years as a North Carolina Super Lawyer and was previously granted membership to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
