As a result, Eight Legged Media committed to three email marketing rules: limit emails to about half the industry norm; maintain a waiting period so that sales executives will not see repeat ads for 90 days; keep a limit of two emails per product per month.

These reputation management steps led to an 80% drop in "bounce" rate over six months.
