Raima Inc., which offers state-of-the-art embedded database and dataflow technologies, today announced that the management team through the Raima Holding Company LLC have completed a share purchase agreement with Birdstep Technology ASA to purchase Birdstep Technology ASA's US Subsidiary (100%) Raima Inc. The Raima Holding Company LLC is a newly established company owned and operated by the current Raima management team.

“Birdstep Technology’s divestment of the Raima subsidiary is in following their strategic decision in late 2009 to focus on the core growth areas of wireless products. The differences between the wireless technologies and the embedded database technologies were too great to gain any real synergy between the two businesses,” says Steinar Sande CEO of Raima Inc.

“The new Raima Inc. is in a solid position to deliver the products and services our customers have come to expect. We are in a good financial position and our subscription based license model over the past couple of years is paying off for our clients and Raima providing predictability to both parties,” says Wayne Dalgardno, COO of Raima Inc. “also, we expect an increase in revenue over the next year with the recent release of RDM Embedded 10 and RDM Server 8.3 with its accompanying extensions.”
