Players and Spectators Begin Gearing Up for Emerald Coast Volleyball Week in April
The 2007 spring volleyball tournament will be held April 18th - 22nd at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach. ResortQuest Northwest Florida is proud to continue their support and sponsorship of this long time favorite volleyball tournament and event.
Fort Walton Beach, FL (PRWEB) February 28, 2007 -- Every Spring and Fall thousands of Volleyball players and fans flock to the Emerald Coast to participate in or watch one of the largest four-player volleyball tournaments in the United States. This year's spring tournament will be held April 18th - 22nd at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach.
Players compete for cash prizes, merchandise and apparel while supporters cheer them on and sunbathe from the sidelines. Tournament formats include the Fudpucker 4 Player, a two-day event with Pool Play on Saturday and Playoffs on Sunday. One-day events include the Bring Your Own Partner event utilizing FIVB rules and short courts; a Best of the Beach doubles event with individuals playing different partners throughout the day and also includes a Best Kid category open to kids 14 and under that enter with a parent or adult; and a Doubles Draw where individual players blind draw for partners and play with that partner all day. Special highlights include an Exhibition Match with Steve Timmons & Brian Lewis on Thursday, a Quicksilver EQPT Fashion Show on Saturday and a Blues Traveler Concert at The Swamp on Sunday.
