Interactive Touch-a-Truck with First Choice ER’s Monster Truck at Chick-Fil-A on September 1

First Choice Emergency Room, the leading freestanding emergency room system in the United States, today announced a community event in Spring, TX to familiarize the local neighborhood with emergency resources including police, fire department and First Choice ER.

The touch-a-truck program will be held at the Chick-Fil-A located at 5905 FM Road 2920 in Spring. All participants will receive a free lunch, compliments of First Choice Emergency Room. The First Choice ER Whambulance will park alongside the Spring Volunteer Department Engine 75, Rescue Vehicle 75, Precinct 4 K9 Unit, Precinct 4 Patrol Unit, City Ambulance Service, and the Lowes Safety Team in the parking lot by the Chick-Fil-A on September 1, 2012 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm; and the nearby Spring First Choice Emergency Room facility will also be welcoming visitors to stop by for a quick tour.

As an innovator in healthcare, First Choice Emergency Room is bringing a branded Monster Truck, The First Choice ER Whambulance, to the event as an interactive means to introduce the community to the First Choice Emergency Room facilities as an alternative option should an emergency need arise. The Whambulance debuted at The Woodlands Fourth of July Parade. Complete with 66 inch tires, the converted 2005 Chevrolet Kodiak Heavy Duty Ambulance is now 14 feet tall, 13 feet wide and 25 feet long.

"We appreciate opportunities like Saturday’s touch-a-truck event to remind the local community of the many resources available for their emergency needs,” said Dr. Andrew Kretschmer, First Choice Emergency Room's Houston Regional Medical Director. “First Choice ER’s patients are particularly pleased with the quick access, almost immediate, to board-certified emergency physicians. Ultimately, it is the quality of patient care that has supported the growth of First Choice Emergency Room and we’re committed to continuing to provide this quality emergency care to our local communities."

With school back is session, emergency needs will likely be on the rise. This is an ideal opportunity to educate the local community on the various resources to help with emergency needs, including First Choice Emergency Room.

First Choice ER physicians are board- certified and all nurses are emergency trained. The facility is equipped with state of the art diagnostic technology, including CT scanners, ultrasound machines and digital x-rays, and on-site COLA & CLIA accredited laboratories to handle emergency needs on the spot.

First Choice Emergency Room’s Spring facility is open 24-7.    The facility is located at 21301 Kuykendahl, Suite A, Spring, TX 77379 and can be reached at (281) 803-1000.
