Chicago independent schools, Sacred Heart and North Park Elementary School, have implemented a group SMS alert notification system to send permission-based advisory, weather, and emergency alerts to the emails and mobile phones of parents and school staff in a matter of seconds. The Internet-based program, designed by Simplified Alerts, was part of a beta test last fall.

"Using this text message alert system, we are able to send text alerts to their mobile phones or email from any school computer almost instantly."

Shari Hurovitz, Administrative Assistant at North Park said, "We knew we needed to find an emergency text notification system we could put in place quickly and securely.
