Full Sail University Graduate, Marc Fishman, Wins Emmy Award

Full Sail University (http://www.fullsail.edu), an award-winning entertainment media university near Orlando, FL, is pleased to announce that 1990 Recording Arts graduate, Marc Fishman, won a Creative Arts Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or a Movie for his work on the HBO film, John Adams.

Full Sail University (http://www.fullsail.edu), an award-winning entertainment media university near Orlando, FL, is pleased to announce that 1990 Recording Arts graduate, Marc Fishman, won a Creative Arts Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or a Movie for his work on the HBO film, John Adams.

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles, CA on September 13 and recognize technical and other achievements for the 2007-08 season, and precede the main ceremony held on September 21. John Adams was The Creative Arts Emmys top winner with a total of eight awards, and the program will be shown as a special presentation on September 20 on E! Entertainment, followed Sunday by ABC's live broadcast of the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards.

With more than 100 films to his credit, Fishman has enjoyed a successful career working his way through the industry in a variety of positions ranging from assistant to sound editor, to now re-recording mixer. Since 1999, he has been a member of the Todd-AO Studio team and has mixed on films such as: We Were Soldiers, Nacho Libre, and Crash. He has also served on the Don Cheadle film, Talk to Me and Sir Anthony Hopkins' directed, Slipstream.

In July 2007, Fishman was named to the Career College Association Hall of Fame (CCA). CCA is a voluntary membership organization of accredited, private postsecondary schools, institutes, colleges and universities that provide career-specific educational programs. Members of the CCA Hall of Fame are career college graduates who have attained outstanding success within their industry. Fishman also currently serves on the Full Sail University Recording Arts Program Advisory Committee.
