“This is a terrible tragedy that reminds us that we are all vulnerable to the forces of nature and therefore must come together to help those in dire need,” said Yun Kim, CEO at Emperor’s College.
Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) March 16, 2011
Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, one of the oldest and most distinguished acupuncture colleges in the nation, today announced that, until the end of March 2011, all proceeds generated from its Ear Acupuncture Clinic will be donated to International Medical Corps to support Japan earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.
The Ear Acupuncture Clinic at Emperor’s College offers auricular acupuncture every Wednesday from 12:45 to 4:30pm for $15 per treatment. Appointments are on a walk-in basis only. Treatments last 20 to 25 minutes.
Emperor’s College and its community express deep condolences for victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11 and sincerely hope for swift recovery of the people and areas affected by the disaster. “This is a terrible tragedy that reminds us that we are all vulnerable to the forces of nature and therefore must come together to help those in dire need,” said Yun Kim, CEO at Emperor’s College. To help in the relief efforts, Emperor’s College will send donations to International Medical Corps, the humanitarian organization that provides health care training, medical aid and lifesaving care in emergency situations to local populations around the globe.
“We are extremely grateful to Emperor’s College for their generosity and recognition of the work we’re doing in Japan,” said Margaret Aguirre, Director of Global Communications for International Medical Corps. “Support like this will help International Medical Corps teams in Japan to deliver life-saving services and supplies, with a focus on the most vulnerable populations and communities that otherwise might not be reached.”
Emperor’s College successfully launched its Ear Acupuncture Clinic in July 2010. This new clinical rotation has provided master’s interns an opportunity to receive additional training in ear acupuncture, also referred to as auricular acupuncture. Clinic patients and community members benefit from the low-cost acupuncture services at Emperor’s Ear Acupuncture Clinic offered every Wednesday afternoon.
