The Society of Certified Senior Advisors will be hosting its May educational webinar, Making the End-of-Life Decisions Meaningful presented by Viki Kind. Attendees will learn how to help seniors create better end-of-life care plans that are person-centered and meaningful. Families often struggle to honor the patient’s wishes, and this webinar will help guide families through the challenging process of making such difficult decisions.
This webinar will take place May 16th, 2012 at 12:00pm (MST). This is a live webinar, but for those who cannot attend, this will be recorded and available shortly after the conclusion of the live event. Viki Kind will demonstrate how to guide families to making meaningful decisions both before a loss of a patient’s capacity and after. She will identify how to help a family who does not want to honor the patient’s wishes, and she will explain how to make the CPR vs. no CPR conversation more meaningful. This webinar will provide attendees with new end-of-life conversation tools and resources to empower good decision making and help make the right choices for both the senior patient and their family. This webinar is not about various treatments, but rather is to serve as a guide to helping people make decisions about how they want to live while they are dying.
