Tommy Greer has joined Atlanta-based Utilities Analyses, Inc. (UAI), a national player in energy supply-side services and risk management strategies. Greer will be responsible for business development, as well as serving as a client liaison.

"We're pleased to welcome Tommy to UAI, as he has a wealth of industry experience on both the supplier and the user sides of energy management. This will help us continue providing our customers with comprehensive services to control energy spend," said Kevin Shaw, President of UAI. "The addition of talented hires such as Tommy is critical to continuing our success in reducing costs and utility budgets for our commercial, industrial, government, and institutional clients."

Prior to joining UAI, Greer was employed by General Electric (GE), where he developed an energy-supply sourcing program. As a 20-year veteran of the energy management industry, he has experience in all aspects of the energy supply chain, including rate analysis and negotiation with utilities and suppliers, energy audits, open market procurement, and risk management strategies.

Mr. Greer earned a bachelor's degree in business and is completing graduate studies at Columbus State University in Georgia. He has won many awards for his work in the energy services industry.

Despite the economy, UAI has been bucking the trend by bringing new talent on board to meet the growing demand for utility cost savings by large multi-site national corporations, industrial users and government entities. The company, which has seen its revenues grow more than 50% over the past year, has been extremely successful in reducing energy spend through commodity energy procurement solutions, objective utility rate tariff analysis and utility bill processing, all of which result in bottom-line cost savings.
