Seventeen New Alternative Energy Stocks Added to Ardour Global Index in Quarterly Rebalancing

One New Stock In AGI Extra Liquid(SM)

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 12, 2007 -- The Ardour Global IndexSM (TICKER: AGIGLSM) will add seventeen new components, effective 6:00 PM (EST) Sunday, June 17. Six stocks will be deleted from the index, raising the number of index components to ninety-three. The changes result from the index’s quarterly rebalancing, which allows for rapid inclusion of recent IPOs. A complete list of constituents and weights will be posted on the ArdourSM web site, (www.ardourglobalindexes.com/indexes_agi.php).

The Ardour Global IndexSM is a capitalization-weighted, float adjusted index of 93 of the most prominent pure-play alternative energy stocks in the world.

Nine of the current additions are listed in N. America, four are listed in the Asia Pacific region and four are listed in Europe. The largest additions in terms of market capitalization are the Hong Kong-based Byd Co. Ltd., with a market cap of $859 million, Taiwan-based Simplo Technology Co. Ltd., with a market cap of $828 million, and France-based Saft Groupe SA, with a market cap of $710 million. The new companies added over $5.3 billion in market capitalization to the index, while the deletions resulted in a decrease in market cap of $2.08 billion. Overall, the AGIGLSM added $3.3 billion in market cap.

To be included in the AGIGLSM index stocks must pass multiple screens, including for percentage of revenues generated in the alternative energy industry (>50%), capitalization, float, exchange listing, share price and turnover.

The AGI Extra Liquid IndexSM (TICKER: AGIXLSM), which contains a fixed number of 30 stocks, had one addition and one deletion. German windmill manufacturer, Nordex AG, with a market cap of nearly $2.4 billion, was added, while Solarfun Power Holdings, a Chinese solar company, was deleted.
